Pittsburgh RADical Days 2009



For the past 8 years, Pittsburgh area attractions have offered free admission to the public during September and October (thanks to RAD). Here are some highlights (in order by date) of this year's celebration:


  • Carnegie Science Center - 9/27 from 10am to 5pm
  • Riverquest EXPLORER - 9/27 from 11am to 3 pm
  • Pittsburgh Glass Center - 10/2 from 10am to 9pm
  • Venture Outdoors (kayak downtown) - 10/3 from 10am to dusk, some restrictions
  • National Aviary - 10/4 from 9am to 5pm
  • Children's Museum of Pittsburgh - 10/4 from noon to 5pm
  • Carnegie Museums of Natural Art & History - 10/4 from noon to 5pm
  • Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens - 10/5 from 9:30am to 5pm
  • Mellon Arena Family Skate - 10/5 from 5pm to 8:30pm
  • Boyce Mayview Parl - Regional Environment Education Center (nature tours & activities) - 10/10 from 9am to 3pm
  • Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra FREE concert - 10/10 from 11am to noon
  • Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium - 10/11 from 9am to 5pm
